Description

Splits a vector into its signals, in order: the counterpart of Mux.

Set the number of outputs (2 to 32) under Signals in the block’s properties. The input is cut into that many equal parts, so with 6 signals and 2 outputs each output is itself a vector of 3. Match incoming sets the outputs to one per signal.

Example

Mux and Demux Three signals carried across the sheet on one vector wire, then split apart again.

Ports

Inputs 1

  • u

    A vector, usually from a Mux.

Outputs 3

  • 1y1

    The first part of u.

  • 2y2

    The second part of u.

  • 3y3

    The third part of u.

Equations

Modelica
y1 = u[1], y2 = u[2], y3 = u[3]  (with one signal per output)

Implementation

The block’s Modelica model
y1 = u[1];
y2 = u[2];
y3 = u[3];

Assumptions and limitations

  • The number of outputs must divide the width of the input; otherwise model checks report it.
  • The parts are equal in size; to take signals by name, bundle them with a Bus Creator and use a Bus Selector.
