Description

Three independent linear resistors, one in each phase between plug_p and plug_n.

Example

Three-phase loads A 10 V three-phase supply into a resistive star load, a series R–L star load, and a capacitor bank in delta.

Ports

Conserving terminals 2

  • +plug_p

Three-phase plug (phases a, b, c). Current into plug_p is counted as positive.

  • −plug_n

    Three-phase plug (phases a, b, c).

Parameters

  • Resistance per phaseR10 Ω

    ≥ 0

Resistance of each phase, in ohms. Positive.

Equations

Modelica
vk = R · ik for k = a, b, c, with vk = plug_p.k.v − plug_n.k.v

Assumptions and limitations

  • Same value in every phase. No temperature dependence.

Tips

  • For a wye load, connect plug_n to a Star point; for a delta load, connect it through a Delta connection.
