Description

Measures the three phase currents flowing from plug_p to plug_n. Insert it in series; it has no voltage drop.

Example

Three-phase loads A 10 V three-phase supply into a resistive star load, a series R–L star load, and a capacitor bank in delta.

Ports

Outputs 3

  • ia

    Phase a current, in amperes, positive from plug_p to plug_n.

  • ib

    Phase b current, in amperes, positive from plug_p to plug_n.

  • ic

    Phase c current, in amperes, positive from plug_p to plug_n.

Conserving terminals 2

  • +plug_p

    Three-phase plug (phases a, b, c) where current enters.

  • −plug_n

    Three-phase plug (phases a, b, c) where current leaves.

Equations

Modelica
plug_p.k.v = plug_n.k.v
ik = plug_p.k.i for k = a, b, c

Tips

  • Feed ia, ib, ic to a Clarke transform for α–β currents.
